When I think of southern music, I mainly think of country music
or Elvis. Elvis lived in Memphis and his house was well known
as Graceland. I think Elvis is pretty cool. He got people dancing
and created some pretty good music. I am not his biggest fan.
I have attended Graceland and I have witnessed some big Elvis fans.
People come from all over the world to see his grave, and I assume
that if people come that far to see him, he must have had some sort
of influence on these peoples lives. His southern style and accent
was well known. So he is one person that i think of southern music.
I also think of country music. I think everybody assumes country music
is from the south because all the singers have country accents which
is spoken in the south. For example, Dolly Parton, Garth Brook, or George Strait
Also country music is know to be made in the south because of Opry Land
in Nashville. That is were all the wanna be country singers go to be
a star.
