    Responding to Cynhde Courtney, I completely agree with you about how all music is really about life. I also believe that you do not have to experience something to be able to write about it. While Elvis did borrow his music from Black culture, I think that he did respect the music enough to do so. This enabled his style to close cultural barriers between cultures to some extent.
