    I attended the lecture on September 27. Peter Guralnik spoke about Elvis. I have lived in West Tenn. all my life, but I have never learned very much about the life of Elvis. I have been to Graceland, but I haven't ever been a real fan of Elvis Presley. I thought the lecture was interesting. Elvis did develop his own style and approach to rock-n-roll music. His life was filled with both success and tragedy. It would be difficult to live as his fans forced him to do. It was sad for his life and career to end so suddenly and at such a young age. I am glad I attended the lecture.
