    Well I do not really know that much about southern music. Southern Gospel gets on my nerves a great deal because all of the songs sound the same, I know they are not but there is something about them that is just too similar. I generally think of Elvis when I think of southern music. By know means did he start southern music but he did make southern music what it is today. The thing that I try to stay away from is 'redneck noise', which I use to refer to country music. For some reason this music seems to be depressing or too up tempo, I don't know, I just cannot stand it. Some southern music I do really like, come to think of it. Leadbelly is great and his songs are southing. Other than that I'll get my music from Hollywood, New York, or wherever as long as it is not country.
