The southern culture is so musically diverse. Where else can you find a melting pot of gospel, rock, blues, and country? The south not only inspires great music it is the basis for numerous songs in all genres of music. There are songs about southern hospitality, the rural south, and southern culture in general. Things that are important to southerners become a part of the music. The songs of the south are about life experiences and their impact on the attitude of the songwriter. Southern music is special because it branches from so many backgrounds.
