When I think of Sounds of the South, I think about the Grand Ole' Opry and Hee Haw. I can remember as a little boy that when the Grand Ole' Opry or Hee Haw came on, everybody went into the house and watched. I guess just about the country music stars back then past over the stage at the Grand Ole' Opry at one time or other. Then, just for good ole' Southern entertainment, you could always count on Hee Haw giving you a laugh and having a good time listening to Southern dialect and good ole' country music. But, some of the Sounds of the South that I have not heard anyone talking about was good ole' Southern rock, like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and all the other rock-n-roll greats. Most of all, all the other rednecks that imitated the Southern rock-n-roll groups.
