We welcome responses from on campus and off before, during, and after Southern Cultures Week.

What's your favorite Southern music, and what makes it identifiably Southern?
Is any one form of music more authentically Southern than any other, and if so, why?
What's the deal with Elvis? Granted, he was a flamboyant and influential performer with wide appeal. That doesn't explain the reverence for him and everything connected with him (like Graceland). Why him and not another similarly successful popular artist?
