This was suppost to be posted yesterday around noon time:
It is very hard for me to comment on Southern Family Culture, even though I grew up in Texas, because my parents are from the North. But some of the things that people always identify with the South and claim that the South exclusively enjoys are just as enjoyable in the North. Things such as sweet ice tea, and sitting on the porch are things my mother did when she was a child in the North. And even if the things are not exactly the same, they are comparable to other enjoyable past times in value and culture. I think we should all be proud of where we come from, but I think this whole North/South thing is played out. Especially now, we need to come together and just be American. The regions in the United States have become so culturely diversified that values and ways of living have mixed into one pot. Is there really that big of a difference from living in Tennessee as living in Rhode Island?
