A southern family- When I think of a southern family I think of one that is close-knit, small, loving, and sharing of their ideas. With no television, Internet, Nintendos, or computers to be a distraction, there was more families that were considered actual southern families that shared special bonds. They were able to sit at the table and have a nice home cooked dinner. Also, they had the opportunity to sit together and talk as a family, growing closer each day. The time families had to spend together is nothing compared to today’s family. It seems as if the time is limited. Families today are lucky to have the opportunity to sit and enjoy that meal or even hear about their child or spouse’s day at work. Coming from a small family I see how the advancing technology has changed the true southern family, comparing our times to my parents days.
