I consider my grandmother a southern lady. She has lived in almost all of the states in the south. She has picked up several "southern" characteristics through her travels. For example, she can cook almost any type of meal that is served in the south. That may not be an accomplishment to you, but to me it is a great feat. She does not have a cook book, so all of the recipes and ingredients are stored in her memory. She would also never turn anybody down that was in need. If anybody needed anything that she had, she would give it to them and not think twice about it. Her table is always open to anybody that finds themselves sitting there and she will always lend a bed or couch to somebody that needs a place to stay. My grandmother is one of the true southern ladies.
