I don't know that much about Southern Cultures. I do know that my mother is from the south. She acts and speaks totally different from a lot of women that I have seen in the city. She pronounces a lot of word different I think. For example, rice, she stretches the i sound longer. She also says some pretty embarassing phrases like " crazy as a road lizard." She acts different because she is very old fashioned. She is old fashioned about dating, cleaning, staying out late at night, and other things of that nature. My mother also cooks like southern women, I guess. She cooks that "old southern soul food" as I call it. My mother cooking is great that is one of the things that I like about "Southern Women." I guess you could say that I know a little bit about the south. My grandmother, mother, and aunt are all from the south. And they all act alike but in different ways. My grandmother and mother are alike because they are still "old fashioned." My aunt on the other hand is totally different. She has been living in the city for so long now that she has gotten a custom to the living. I guess you could say that everybody's different in their own unique way.
