I had the pleasure of growing up in a small town in Western Kentucky called Hickman
where I graduated from Fulton County High School in 1997. My only claim to fame
from "Pilot Country" is that my classmates named me "Most Unpredictable."
Below are photographs that mark my most memorable high school moments.
After high school, I continued my education at the University of Tennessee at Martin
where I served as Copy Editor for The Pacer my senior year
and began
tutoring as a student assistant in the Writing Center.
I graduated magna cum laude with a major in English and a minor in Philosophy on May 12, 2001.

During my time as an undergrad, I jumped at the oppportunity to participate in
two different Travel Study Programs. I visited England and France (my first time overseas!)
in March, 2000 and spent two weeks in England and Scotland in May, 2001.
I had the time of my life! Check out the photos.
After graduating from Murray State University summa cum laude with a Master's degree in English,
I happily returned to UT Martin where I will soon begin my second year as an instructor.
