Participation:

All students are expected to participate in the class, which includes proper performance of the required activities as well as proper attitude. You must wear appropriate clothing, particularly running shoes and comfortable exercise clothing. Women should wear t-shirts for exercise; running bras only are not acceptable. You may bring cell phones, but they must be silenced and you cannot answer calls or text messages during class.

A pre and post performance test will be conducted during the semester and will be an indicator of your improvement over the course of the semester. The pre test will be given during the first week of class, and the post test during the final week. Students are also expected to participate in 2 weekend races, either a 5K or a 10K
