Elizabeth Lohrer is from Covington, TN. She is enrolled as a freshman at UTM with a major in Music Education. Her goal is to apply her desired degree to teach music to middle school aged children. Her choice of UTM was made based on the friendly and welcoming faculty and staff she found employed by the Music Department.

Dalton Rardin
Zach Barker is from Peabody High School, Trenton, TN. He is a freshman at UTM. He is currently majoring in music education. His future plans consists of getting a master's degree and becoming a band director. He chose UTM for Dr. Amy Simmons of course. :)

Jennifer Reeves graduated from Peabody High School in Trenton, TN in 2007. She is in her fifth year and will be graduating in the Spring with a Clarinet Performance degree. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a masters degree in performance. Jennifer made her decision to come to UTM to study clarinet with Dr. Amy Simmons and also because of the high standards of musicianship the woodwind studio strives to meet everyday.
Cindy Morris is a senior, instrumental music education major. Cindy is a graduate of Munford High School and has played the clarinet for over ten years now. Cindy plans to pursue graduate school and study the field of music therapy and wants to be able to use music to better people's lives when other ways of therapy are not effective. Cindy chose to come to the UT Martin for many reasons. The faculty, students, musical opportunities, and the environment of the music department, as a whole, are just a few reasons. This school has given Cindy the opportunity to do more than she ever dreamed she would do in college. It is a fantastic place to learn how to become a better person, student, and musician.
Lizzie Lee is a sophomore music education major from Dyersburg, Tennessee. She aspires to attend graduate school upon graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin and getting her masters in music education. Lizzie would like to spend her life giving underprivileged people the opportunity to experience the beauty of music on a daily basis. The reason she chose to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin is because of the exceptional faculty and the small atmosphere which provides individual instruction and personal relationships with her professors and peers. She believes the strongest aspect of the music department is the endless opportunities provided to spread music throughout the local community, different areas of the United States, and abroad.
Molly Waxman is a sophomore music education major from Murfreesboro, TN. After she graduates from UTM, she plans to go to graduate school and get her master's in clarinet performance then teach band in a public school. Molly decided to go to UTM to study with Dr. Amy Simmons.
Ashton Lunsford is from Monroe, Georgia. She is a second semester, first year music education major. She plans to graduate with an education degree and seek a higher graduate degree in Music Therapy. The UTM music department offers a wide aray of professors to fit your musical need. Dr. Amy Simmons is a great instructor and mentor to the students in the woodwind studio. 
Stephen Borodkin is a freshman clarinet performance major from Memphis, Tennessee. He came to the University of Tennessee at Martin to further his musical studies under the tutelage of Dr. Amy Simmons. Borodkin is in his sixth year of private studies, and his future plans include numerous degrees in clarinet performance. He hopes to one day become an orchestral clarinetist.
Jared Nobles is a Senior Music Education Major from Dyersburg, TN. His primary instrument is saxophone. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a master's in saxophone performance before beginning a career as an instrumental music educator. He believes that the best aspect of the UTM music department, and the reason why he chose to attend, is the knowledgeable and helpful faculty who 
Alan Jones is a Junior Instrumental Music Education Major. He is from White House, Tennessee. He plans on going to graduate school to pursue a Master's degree in either Music Education or Ethnomusicology. He chose UT Martin because of the unique learning opportunites and individual attention that he would not receive at a larger university.
Tucker Gillihan is a freshman, instrumental music education major from Munford, Tennessee. He chose to obtain his degree at UT Martin so he could be under the influences of the professional faculty in the music department. Tucker plans to teach high school and receive a doctorate in conducting.
Originally from Troy, TN, Chance Farmer is a freshman Instrumental Music Education major. His future plans include teaching a high school band one day. Chance chose UTM for the amazing music department. He loves the faculty and the atmosphere that the department offers.
