*Integrate globalization,
international topics, and the impact of demographic diversity into
existing curricula. Develop new courses as needed.
Stipends of $500 each plus fringe benefits will be provided to five
faculty members who undertake these tasks, supported by sponsored
workshops.
*Develop and implement a
Global Finance Concentration.
*Develop and implement
the
International Business Scholars Program (IBSP).
*Expand the
CBPA Internship Program to offer a
minimum of 130 internship-hours per year with businesses interested
in developing export/import-related enterprises.
*Revise and improve the
International Business Concentration; specifically, consider adding
a foreign language requirement and a travel study/study abroad
component.
*Heavily emphasize
increased awareness of and participation in
travel study/study abroad initiatives.
*Increase aware of and
participation in the
Summer Immersion Programs, which
currently send students to the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi,
the University of Alicante in Spain, and the University of
Guanajuato in Mexico. Expand to include the Technical
University of Braunschweig in Germany. Develop a "NAFTA
Studies" component with Canadian and Mexican partners.
*Broaden the existing
Emerging Market Banker Internship Program and the Brazilian
Professional Education Program to include public forums and
classroom discussions with students and business leaders.
