Jehan
Froissart (1337-c1410) was born in Valenciennes, France, and was likely
buried in Chima, Belgium. He spent much of
his life traveling to England, Scotland, Wales, France, Flanders and
Spain. Jehan was a merchant, but he became a cleric and is best known
for his Chronicles, covering
a good portion of the Hundred Years' War,
and also the origin of much of his life story. His work survives in
over 150 manuscripts, some containing his poetry, some containing only
fragments of his work. This page links most of the online facsimiles of
manuscripts and incunabula containing Froissart's work. These are
