Mathematical variables must be italicized (except Greek, Hebrew
and Cyrillic letters).
Use 1 1/2" left margins, 1" top, bottom, and right margins.
Each figure should be placed within the text on the same page as the
first reference to it, or on the page following the first reference.
Use any consistent standardized footnote method.
Do not wrap equations. All longer equations must be centered
on their own lines so that equations do not begin on one line, then continue
on the next. For example,
sin W + 32 cos X - 21 sin Y
+ 65 = 21Z.
Align relation symbols such as =, >, or < when you have a list
of expressions. For example:
Write in complete sentences - this includes the equations!
Do not use l (lower case L) as a variable if it looks like 1 (one) on
your printer. (More generally, avoid any variable that is easy
to misread such as lower case L's.)
