CLASSROOM DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT
Ten minute talk presentation outlining the problem, assumptions, model, and fit strategy. This will be followed by class discussion, questions, suggestions and constructive criticism. Your group will be graded both on your presentation and on your response to the other groups' presentations. |

ROUGH DRAFT OF FINAL REPORT Mathematically complete final report. A draft of the written expression and illustration of the model. This is perhaps the most important part of the project. The teacher will respond with in depth comments and suggestions for revision. Though this is worth only ten percent of the grade, your response to the comments will drastically affect the grade on the next two components-another eighty percent of the grade! As with all parts of this project, you may submit your draft earlier than the stated deadline. Early submission will give you more time for revision. Did you notice the "mathematically complete" requirement? |

| |
ORAL REPORT A presentation of the completed model to the class. Each of the team members must speak for at least five minutes. You may videotape your presentation and present the video to the class. Remember the final exam will include questions on the students' models. The oral report (as well as the written report) will be open to the public. |

CONFIDENTIAL EFFORT REPORT Describe any significant division of duties among team members. Grade the effort of each team member (example: Joe A, Mary C+, me B+). If done as a team, submit separate signed copies. These will be kept confidential and compared with my evaluation of individual member's work when assigning your individual grades. (I list this as -5% because I will lower your teams score if these are not submitted.) |
