1. Starting Play
1.1 Toss of the coin ­ Three minutes before the start of the game, the referee will conduct a captain’s meeting in which he/she will designate which captain shall call the toss of the coin. The captain winning the toss will choose either:
a. To choose whether his/her team will first be offense or defense.
a. To choose the goal his/her team will defend. The captain, not having the first choice of options for a half, shall exercise the remaining option.
1.2 Each half begins with the ball being first played form the fifteen (15) yard line.
1.3 Each team will receive 4 downs (tries) to advance the ball to the next zone line. These lines are the 20 and 40 yard lines.
For example:  The first play of the game the offensive team only has to break the plane of the 20 yard line, for a first down.
1.4 The ball must be put into play no more than 25 seconds after the official has placed the ball.
