INDIA: Status of K-12 Physical Education

This paper acquaints the audience with a critical appraisal of continued socio-economical and political influence on policies and practices in K-12 Physical Education in India. Data collected from public records and actual practices show that the action-plans fall short of intended outcomes. Still, the authors feel, dramatic changes taking place in Physical education and sports programs are very encouraging.
