By Joyce A. Davis
Focuses on an application based approach for undergraduate Biomechanics education. Explores a variety of methods that can be used to enhance motivation and interest for the Physical Education-Teacher Education (PETE) major. PETE majors often ask "do we need to know this stuff?" when confronted with anatomical and mechanical content. Their pragmatic perspective often serves as a limiting factor when, in fact, it can be used as a springboard to greater understanding. Techniques that enhance the full integration of anatomical and mechanical considerations with appropriate applications for the PETE major will be demonstrated and discussed.
