| Sites about learning the Internet, the Net defined, a glossary of Internet terms, as well as information about choosing a web search service, and search engine tips will be found on this homepage. Beginning searchers may want to print out Jim Byerly's table which compares attributes of eight servers. For searching multiple sites simultaneously, I have been pleased with the Internet Sleuth. Finally, another great source that you may want to bookmark is thecodex.com. This source looks intimidating, but I found it to have a little bit about a lot of things. It could be a real help to anyone doing ready reference work. As with any good site, I consider this a work in progress. My plans are to include subject specific periodical holdings for the University of Tennessee at Martin faculty and students, and to provide links to some of my personal favorite sites as well. |
