For my culture event project, I attended the program with the guest speaker Mr. Morris Dees. Mr. Dees is from a small town in Alabama. He wrote the book "A Lawyers Journey". He talked to us about a few of the cases he has had through out the years. One story he told stuck with me. It was a story of a young Jewish boy. He was starting to light the Hanukah candle. One night someone saw the candle glowing and they smashed in the window. The little boy was heart broken. Once the word got around, the whole town cut candles out of cardboard and put them up in their front windows to show support. Mr. Dees talked about many more cases, but like I said this one just stuck.
