For my event I visited the library to explore the museum. The museum revealed many facts to me that I either did not know or had forgetten. Entering the museum I found a room off to the side that was roped off on one side. The room was set up like the office of the former Ed Jones, the Congressman of the eighth congressional district. The office was very fancy with a desk and chair and pictures on the wall. Also on the other side of the museum was a room to the side that was set up nicely for Ned Ray McWharter. He was a former govenor and speak of the house for Tennessee. Exploring the museum even farther I found a room that had several small photographs on the walls all the way around. Each photogrph was a snapshot from plays performed at UTM. Amazingly some of the pictures date back several decades ago. Plays that were reenacted consisted of The Glass Menagerie, School House Rock and Spinning the Butter. The museum was a great experience and I would encourage anyone to go.
