For my cultural event I visited the library's museum exhibit on Douglas Cook. Mr Cook has been an UTM faculty member for 20 years and has designed many sets for plays such as "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" and "The Glass Menagerie". The exhibit displays set designs and pictures from the actual sets that Mr. Cook has designed as well as a message from him. In his message, Mr. Cook thanks the people who have helped him to attain his goals "...doing what I love to do," as well as reminds readers and viewers of the exhibit that "...theatrical productions are merely visual depictions of how the director and set designer interpret the playwright's views and ideas."
