I went to the Jody Williams talk. She talked about land mines and how they destroy lives. Also how that they are indiscriminant when it comes to trying to identify the enemy. It was interesting because it was something new that I didn't think about. Mrs. Williams also talked about how much damage they cause in other countries and how long they are "live." They were planted during war time and never detonated after the war was over. And now they are causing major damage to society and it's people.
