French
Immersion Weekend
Feb. 25 (around 4:00pm)-Feb.26 (2:30pm), 2011 • Practice your conversation skills in French • Get ready to study abroad • Learn about exciting Hispanic cultures • Cook in French • Contribute your talents to a fun experience Please bring: comfortable clothing appropriate for the outdoors (jeans, sweatshirt or jacket, rain jacket or poncho, comfortable walking shoes) and a flashlight! You will also need sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag; towels; and your own soap, shampoo and other personal toiletry items. Go ahead and bring guitars or other musical instruments and CDs of Spanish-language music. French activities will begin after 4:00 pm. Friday, and will conclude Saturday after a 1:00 pm joint lunch with Spanish and French students. Cost: $35 per person (includes workshops, accommodations, and all meals during this portion of the weekend, $25 for Consortium study abroad alumni (Chicoutimi, etc.) and for those who also participate in the Spanish portion. |

Feb. 26 (after 12:00noon)-Feb.27 (10:30am), 2011 • Practice your conversation skills in Spanish • Get ready to study abroad • Learn about exciting Francophone cultures • Cook in Spanish • Contribute your talents to a fun experience Please bring: comfortable clothing appropriate for the outdoors (jeans, sweatshirt or jacket, rain jacket or poncho, comfortable walking shoes) and a flashlight! You will also need sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag; towels; and your own soap, shampoo and other personal toiletry items. Go ahead and bring guitars or other musical instruments and CDs of Spanish-language music. Spanish students should arrive around noon on Saturday. We will have a joint lunch with French students, and activities for French will begin Saturday after lunch. These activities will conclude by 10:30 am. Sunday. Cost: $35 per person (includes workshops, accommodations, and all meals during this portion of the weekend, $25 for Consortium study abroad alumni (Guanajuato, etc.) and for those who also participate in the French portion. |
