Jump into your language with both feet, sharing the experience with friends from the colleges of the
Mid-Continent Consortium for International Education

More than arpilleras, fellowship, fine cuisine and warm conversation; this is your first time living in your language.
Spanish Immersion Weekend
Feb. 29 (after 4:00pm)-March1 (1:00pm), 2008

•    Practice your conversation skills in Spanish
•    Get ready to study abroad
•    Learn about exciting Hispanic cultures
•    Cook in Spanish
•    Contribute your talents to a fun experience

Please bring: comfortable clothing appropriate for the outdoors (jeans, sweatshirt or jacket, rain jacket or poncho, comfortable walking shoes) and a flashlight!  You will also need sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag; towels; and your own soap, shampoo and other personal toiletry items and towels. Go ahead and bring guitars or other musical instruments and CDs of  Spanish-language music.
 
Spanish activities will begin after 4:00 pm. Friday, and will conclude Saturday before a 1:00 pm joint lunch with Spanish and French students.

Cost:  $35 per person (includes workshops, accommodations, and all  meals on Saturday, $25 for Consortium study abroad alumni (Guanajuato, etc.) and for those who also participate in the French portion.

French students should arrive around noon on Saturday.  We will have a joint lunch with Spanish and French students and activities for Spanish will begin Saturday after lunch.  The activities will conclude by 11:00 am. Sunday.
