The Northwest Tennessee Chapter of the Tennessee Trails Association is one of 14 clubs throughout Tennessee dedicated to the promotion, construction, and maintenance of a statewide system of hiking trails, and to conservation of natural resources inherent to that objectiv

Founded in April and May of 2000, the club sponsored its inaugural hiking event on the Fort Henry Trail at the Land Between the Lakes.

Activities of the chapter depend upon the desires and interests of its members. We are an activist advocate of the Brian Brown Memorial Greenway Project, a project first envisioned by Brian Brown, the late director of UT Martin's campus recreation program and founding member of the the Northwest Tennessee Chapter of TTA. As with other chapters, we regularly schedule (primarily) day hikes in the region, sometimes joining with clubs such as the chapters in Clarksville and Memphis to co-sponsor hikes. Other anticipated projects include trail building and maintenance.
