for oversight of an engineering and
contracting firm with an annual revenue of approximately $20 million and a
portfolio of 300 projects located in seven states, the Philippines, and the
Marshall Islands. Provide corporate
direction through supervision and generation of 5 and 10-year work plans. Establish corporate goals and direct company
efforts into new areas of potential growth. Coordinate business development
through division directors and determine funding priorities for investment in
current and newly developed divisions and subsidiaries.
1984-1994; Project Director
for the Department of Energy Plumes Modeling Project

Served as Project
Director for a $50 million computer modeling project for the Department of
Energy to determine rate and flow of radioactive and chemical contaminants in
groundwater at the 5,000-acre Oak Ridge Reservation. Had management oversight of 80 field well drilling and sampling
personnel, 20 administrative personnel, 10 documentation specialists, and 15
programmer analysts. Prepared budgets
and represented the Company in contract negotiation and modification. Also, presented project reports and updates
to contract office personnel with involvement of DOE, EPA and other state
regulators.
1980-1984; Regional
Engineering Division Director :
Bektel
Corporation, San Francisco, CA.
Served as Division
Director for the Bektel Corporation with headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Managed 20 environmental engineering projects in the Middle East, and South
American. Annual individual project
values ranged from $1 million to $15 million for the scope of work completed. Coordinated project start-ups and
staffing. Also, monitored project
quality and completion schedules to ensure maximum award fees.
1976-1980; Nuclear Engineer:
Carried out
environmental assessments of contaminated superfund sites in the Western United
States. Participated in remedial
investigations and characterization of contaminants. Generated closure documentation and served as a remedial
characterization expert for project management.
