College Grad Job Hunter: All kinds of advice on how to look for work, write a resume, post it on the net, negotiate salaries and benefits, and much more.
Dictionary of Occupational Titles (1991)--Provided by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges Law Library.
First Steps in the Hunt: an almost daily tipsheet of jobhunting suggestions and promising web sites for the job search.
JobSmart: while this is oriented toward the California job market, there's a lot of good general links for resume writing, resume posting, jobhunting on the net, and career advice.
Peterson's Career and Job Channel -- Help in several areas of job searching.  Focus appears to be aimed at college graduates.
Princeton Review's Career Guide --use this along with the Occupational Outlook Handbook when you're trying to determine what careers would interest you.
National Association of Colleges and Employers: Excellent starting point for people who are new at jobhunting; guide to information on resume writing, career choices, company information (including SEC filings), employment centers and more.

Occupational Employment Statistics--national and state data for 760 occupations. Includes wage data by job classification. Occupational employment and wage estimates at the national level are divided into seven tables, one for each occupational division (managerial, professional, sales, clerical, service, agricultural, and production).
Salary Surveys for Various Professions -- provides detailed information for approximately 50 careers.  Also gives additional links to several other useful sources.

Job Searching--this welcome guide from About.Com (formerly the Mining Co.) is particularly useful in linking you by your specialization--business jobs, science jobs, arts jobs, etc., as well as links for international jobs, "cool" jobs, and for skills areas--employer research, interviewing, and such.
LITA--Jobs in Library and Information Technology. Updated every Wednesday.
Law Enforcement Careers This site offers employment, testing and interviewing guides for federal and state police careers.
MedSearch America: Look here for jobs in health-related fields.
Minorities Job Bank--career, self-development, and job info for all ethnic minorities. Lists jobs with Equal Opportunity employers.
Monster Board--another job listing service, more than 50,000 job listings from more than 4000 employers. Also has employer profiles, and a nice section on self-employment.
Next Wave--a career and job posting site for science majors.
NonProfit Career Network--a place to look for jobs and volunteer opportunities in the nonprofit sector, post your resume, and find out about the service organizations listed.
Opportunity NOCs--job opportunities in the nonprofit sector.
RehabWorld--job postings for occupational and physical therapy.
Science Professional Network--job listings, science career fairs, career workshops, and career links for scientists. From the AAAS.
Tennessee Department of Employment Security -- Occupational outlook, wages and benefits information, labor market reports and job search information.

Relocation Central--another helpful tool for anyone who's moving. While the database is still growing, and not enough cities are represented, there is info on housing, banking, schools, recreation, and such for the towns that are there; there is also a moving time line calculator, and a moving expense calculator, and other handy tips.
Relocation Salary Calculator: wherein by inputting current salary, current location, and new location we find that, if someone wants me to move to Boston they need to pay me $23,000 more. How figures are calculated (consumer price index?) is not clear.
Rent Net: Search for rental housing all over the country, by price range, type of housing, number of bedrooms.
Virtual Relocation, US--anyone who's thinking of moving needs to check this out. Check by state for info on builders, rentals, mortgage lenders, schools, day care, demographics, and much more.

Annual Report Gallery--downloadable and printable annual reports from Fortune 500 companies (though some only in Adobe Acrobat format)
Annual reports for Free--more than 3200 companies. Find your company alphabetically or by subject, and call PRAR's 800 number to request the annual report.
Standard Occupational Classification Codes
TechWeb: the place to go to look for technical job postings, list your resume.
Vault Reports--"the Jobseeker's Secret Weapon." Profiles of major employers based on interviews with people who've worked there, tell about the kind of organization it is, the benefits and drawbacks of working there. Although the purpose of the site is to entice you into buying the full reports on each company, the snapshot profiles in themselves are quite useful.
