This site for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance, provides links to its six associations as well as
convention information and the Research Forum. Also included are links
to membership, publications and products; periodicals and newsletter,
and to 24 state associations.
Physical
Education
A specialized site from the Education Index, which can be searched for
educational information specifically on physical education. Includes
links to various sporting associations, as well as to an Olympic Games
history site, and places to find coaching tips or lesson plans. Each
link provides an annotated description.
PE Central
A site for physical education teachers, students, interested parents and
adults. The goal is to provide the latest information about contemporary
developmentally appropriate physical education programs for children and
youth. Includes lession ideas, an updated job center, instructional
resources, and links to other web sites related to fitness, health,
dance, fundraising, grants and sports.
