Formal lectures are routinely supplemented and enhanced with photographic slide presentations, video documentaries, reports from recent newspapers, and a variety of reference and thematic maps. In-class discussion and debate are also encouraged throughout the semester.
Students are required to complete multi-format examinations, several assignments, and a photographic essay.
Successful completion of GEOG 202 will satisfy a portion of the "Social and Behavioral Sciences" component of the UT Martin General Education curriculum for students declaring the 2007-2008 catalog. It may also help complete other degree requirements for students pursuing many different majors.
