GEOGRAPHY 210 - Methods in Geoscience

GEOG 210 is a survey course that introduces students to the research methods and associated technology commonly used by geologists and geographers. 

Topics include (but are not limited to) the histories of geology and geography, archival research methods and resources, the structure of research articles, basics on statistical data, abstracts, photographic image creation and editing, oral presentations, and field safety.

Student are assigned a variety of tasks, including a term project with a graded oral presentation.

Prerequisite: GEOL 110-120 or GEOG 151-152 or GEOG 201-202.
