Other hours available by appointment.
Homework: Homework, as specified by
our syllabus, will not be collected. Homework problems, however, will be
candidates for “short answer” problems on both the midterm and final exams. The
review days are the perfect days to ask questions about these problems; we can
also discuss them during my office hours.
Problem Sets: There will be five (5)
take-home problem sets. They will be due on the days designated by our course
calendar. Each set will consist of between
five and eight problems.
Exams: There will be two (2)
exams, a Midterm and a Final. Exams will request
definitions, examples, short answers, and proofs, all of which will be
specified at least one week in advance.
There will be a true-false section.
Homework problems will be represented in the short answer section. The
Midterm will be offered on Monday March 8 during our regular class time. The Final will be offered on the day
designated by the university exam schedule: Monday May 3, 10am – 12pm.
