To develop you ability to undertand spoken Spanish, you can not listen to English. The lab (listening) section of your 'Cuaderno' and the CD can help you develop these skills. You must, however, listen to them and play them again and again until you actually hear, yes hear the word or words that give you the answer. If you listen once then find the answer at the back of the book, the exercise will not help you unless you return to listening at least several more times.

La prueba de vocabulario del capítulo 4 será totalmente en español. Hay que leer una oración en español y rellenar el blanco con una de las palabras en la lista.

El examen de capítulo 3 vendrá directamente del el cuaderno y habrá que comprender el audio de la cinta.

The mid-term grades are based on the weighted averages of tests and quizzes to date only. The workbook, lab, compositions and other assignments will be added for the final grade along with participation and extra credit if applicable. Thus, in many cases grades could rise provided the assignments are completed on time.

Es posible que vendrán algunas personas de origen hispano a la clase. Por favor, trata (try) de hablarles en español. (Be nice!)

Habrá que identificar y localizar paises sudamericanos con el mapa en una prueba o examen al futuro...como capítulo 4.

The chapter 3 vocabulary quiz will be on Monday, October 4, 1999. Hay que saber el vocabulario en el texto y los nombres de los países de Europa Occidental (y Polonia y Rusia también... y el continente de África)

A proposito: el paíz Corea se escribe con 'C' y no 'K' como en inglés. Entonces, el adjectivo, 'coreana' también se escribe con 'c' y no 'k'.
