Project Mission
The
Southern Consortium of the American Democracy Project
(ADP-South) is an initiative of ADP campuses across 12
southeastern states. This initiative seeks to provide
support for campus ADP leaders and to recognize the efforts
of campuses, organizations, faculty, administrators and
students whose work contributes to the goals of ADP

The 2008 conference will be November 7-9 at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Fifth-Annual Gandhi-King Conference on Peacemaking will occur at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, October 17 and 18 2008. Gandhi-King Conference on Peacemaking. It is too late to submit a paper, but you can still register to attend!
This deadline for submitting a proposal to the National Service Learning Conference to be held in Nashville, Tennessee March 18-21, 2009 is September 26. National Service Learning Conference. This conference will seldom be more convenient to those of us who live in the southeastern US.
From 2007 Conference at Kennesaw State
Campus award winners were: First Place - Georgia College and State University (Alternative Spring Break), Second Place – Clayton State University (SAM Chapter) and Third Place – Norfolk State University (Constitution Day)
Co-curricular award winners were: First Place – Western Kentucky University (Women and Children Learning Camp), Second Place – Georgia College and State University (Newspaper Literacy Program) and Third Place was Norfolk State University (Jena Six)
Curricular award winners were: First Place – Morehead State University (Literacy Program), Second Place – Clayton State University (Graduate HR Class) and Third Place – Norfolk State University (HIV Prevention)
This year our conference featured something new, our student's only Civic Engagement Think Tank. Winners will be posted here soon.

representatives from member institutions plans
the ADP-South Annual Conference
held each
Fall. At this conference campus representatives showcase
ADP activities on their campus during the previous year,
awards are given, and learning sessions are held for
faculty, administrators and students.
