Final exam.
Our final exam is Thursday, December 15, from 3-5 p.m. in room 307-309 of the Humanities Building. For those of you wanting some practice problems, let me redirect you to Dr. Kolitsch's math 140 page. Note that the final exam problems are at the bottom of the page, but you may want to look at his practice chapter tests as well. Good luck with your studies.
Test 4: Tuesday December 6 (TR) and Wednesday December 7 (MWF)
This test will cover chapter 5 as well as the trigonometry supplement. Practice test 4A and Practice test 4B For the MWF class, here is the test for the in-class review:In-class review. TR folks are of course welcome to study from it as well.
Important: unfortunately we have not yet covered the law of sines or the law of cosines. These two formulas are used to solve triangles which are not right triangles. This means that on the practice tests you can skip over the following problems for now: On practice test 4A, the second triangle in problem 10 and problem 12. On the in-class review, the second triangle in problem 10, and problem 12 again. Practice test 4B does not have any law of sines or law of cosines problems.
