Past Faculty Senate President, Maurice Field passed this past Wednesday and left a legacy difficult to match. If you visit his website at: http://www.mauricefield.net/, you will see his passion, which was for waterfowl. Maurice was such a deep and interesting man, so particular about research methods and statistics, and so driven to conserve our natural environment; but perhaps what is most notable is how genuinely pleasant it was to be in the same room with him. UTM is better for having had Dr. Maurice Field to call as one of our own.
