More education cuts suggested in DC

Moves to curtail spending on higher education continue in Washington, DC., raising the perennial question: is it good to cut education funding at a time when jobs are so hard to find. The question is similar to the question of whether public spending should increase during times of reduced private spending. Prudence, in my opinion, says money should be spent on ways to end the educational and economic crises we face; and the two are not unrelated.
