State Senator, Bill Ketron from Murfreesboro said Tennessee does not permit student IDs to be used as a voting ID because, he said, students were producing fake IDs so they could buy alcohol. The only problem with that argument is, student IDs do not have any indication of age (birthdate) on them. He must have been caught off guard when asked for the reasoning and I am sure he could do better if he were asked again.
