ENGR 350 – ELEMENTARY SURVEYINGThe two major components of this course are: a) class lecture- Students will gain familiarity and problems solving skills in the following areas: types of errors and error analysis in surveying, distance measurements, leveling, angles and units of angle measurements, traverse computations, earth work, and laying out of horizontal and vertical curves. b) Laboratory-Students will gain laboratory experience with taking field notes, performing hands-on distance, elevation, and angle measurements using taping, levels, theodolites, and Total Stations.
