Associate researcher for two main projects:

Development of a micro electromechanical system (MEMS) based intelligent hybrid Bi-Axial Strain Transducer (BiAST) sensor for predicting railroad fatigue life based on strain history (Extension of Ph.D. work), funded by the TRB-IDEA program. Duties include: writing progress report, making presentations, and writing technical papers.
- Experimental measurement of corrosion of rebar embedded in concrete with corrosion inhibiting admixtures, funded by the Iowa DOT.

- Carried out a Field performance study of past Iowa pavement research
- Evaluated and Utilized a digital Uni/Bi-Axial strain Transducer (MEMS Technology) at TTCI in Colorado
- Performed a Finite Element Modeling of Railroad
- Accomplished a fatigue model for predicting the remaining life of railroad rails
- Conducted a Foamed Asphalt Research for Iowa DOT
- Achieved a traffic simulation project for a segment of an urban area with congested intersections using different traffic simulation software HCS, CORSIM® (TRAF-NETSIM and FREESIM).
- Performed a travel demand modeling for Iowa city/Coralville. Census data, field surveys, and data analysis area were used together with the TransCAD® modeling software
