Principles of Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) is a survey of the fundamental principles and
applications of GIS, a technology that can be used to store, retrieve, manage,
analyze and display spatial information. Anything from industrial plants to
flowering plants, from cattle to customers, from rocks to rock music stations
can all be mapped and analyzed using a GIS. The possibilities for applications
of GIS are endless.
