"Money Matters: Financial Trends, the Ins and Outs of Personal Finance"
Jane Bryant Quinn is among America 's best known and most respected experts on personal finance. Her columns in Newsweek and Good Housekeeping , as well as her nationally syndicated newspaper columns, are read by millions and have been honored by many awards, including the John Hancock Award for Excellence in Business and Financial Journalism. An Emmy-award winning television commentator, Jane co-hosted "Beyond Wall Street", a PBS investment series, hosted her own PBS personal finance series, "Taking Charge!", and was a regular contributor to the "CBS Morning News" and "The Evening News with Dan Rather". She is the author of several books on personal finance, including the current Smart and Simple Financial Strategies for Busy People.
She also helped to develop the top-selling software program, Quicken Financial Planner, and serves on numerous boards, including the Harvard School of Public Health. She will speak on Money Matters: Financial Trends, the Ins and Outs of Personal Finance on Monday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Skyhawk Arena of the Elam Center.
