Douglas Cardinal, October 9, 2008

Douglas Cardinal is President and Principal Architect for Douglas Cardinal, Architect, Inc., which is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.   An internationally renowned architect, Mr. Cardinal is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and a member of the Royal Society of Canada.  Noted for his excellence in natural design, Mr. Cardinal has designed a long series of beautiful buildings, including the Edmonton Space and Science Center, the Government Services Center in Ponoka, Alberta, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec.  He worked on the National Museum of the American Indian on the National Mall in Washington DC and is currently the principal architect for the Discovery Park of America in Union City, TennesseeHe will speak on Discovery Park of America: Reflections of an Architect’s Life and Vision on Thursday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m. in the Watkins Auditorium of the Boling University Center.  Douglas Cardinal’s appearance is co-partnered by Honors Programs, the Center for Global Studies, and the Canadian Consulate General in Atlanta, as part of their “Great North in the Deep South” series.
