SPAN 115: Repaso para Examen Final

As I mentioned in class, the final exam for 115 is EXACTLY like the three unit exams in terms of sections and point distribution. The only difference is that there is a little bit of everything. We started in Paso A and finished Chapter 4. Although the general rule is that if the material (grammar/vocab) appears in the assigned chapters, it could possibly appear on an exam. However, my best advice is to study your previous exams as they emphasize the most important sections. Specifically, the breakdown is as follows:

I. Comprensión oral.

• Similar to the unit exams in format. The only difference is that there are two. Be sure to know your numbers and alphabet.

II. Vocabulario. Main sections include:

• ¿Dónde está? Los lugares (enfrente de, detrás de, etc.)
• Los colores y la ropa
• Las descripciones
• El cuerpo humano
• Cosas en el salón de clase
• La familia
• Los idiomas-las nacionalidades
• La fecha-las estaciones-los cumpleaños
• ¿Qué hora es?
• Las actividades favoritas
• Las clases
• El tiempo
• Las preferencias y los deseos
• Las actividades diarias
• Los días feriados
• La rutina diaria
• Los estados físicos y anímicos

III. Gramática. Main sections include:

• Singular vs. plural
• Adjective / noun agreement
• Possessive adjectives (mi bolígrafo vs. mis bolígrafos)
• El presente (regular)
• El presente (verbos irregulares)
• El presente progresivo (yo estoy hablando)
• Verbos reflexivos (yo me baño)
• The verb "gustar" (me gusta hablar en español)
• Números ordinales (primero, segundo, tercero, etc.)
• Verbos como preferir-pensar-querer-poder-tener-volver
• Ir + a + infinitivo (voy a hablar)

IV. Lectura. Identical to what you have seen on every unit exam.

• Know your grammar and vocabulary and you´ll do fine!
