- Mrs. Amber Howard won the 1990 Howard Huyck Outstanding High School Chemistry Teacher Award and spoke at the Kentucky Lake Section of ACS Education Night in South Fulton in November 1990.

Dr. Attila E. Pavlath is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chemical Society. He was a speaker for one of the KLS-ACS meetings in Martin in 1991 and had agreed to write for KIMAT-CHEMEX.
