UT of Martin K-12 DANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM

The BFA in Fine and Performing Arts with an emphasis in Dance Education was the first dance education program in the state of Tennessee! Students graduating from this BFA degree program will be certified to teach K-12 in public school systems.

Students in the Dance Program at The University of Tennessee at Martin have many options for studying dance.

The slide-show pictures illustrate Dance Education students teaching in Jackson, Martin, Dresden, and South Fulton.

The Dance Education Program serves students who want to:
- teach dance in a K-12 public or private school
- dance professionally
- open or teach in a private dance studio
- pursue a graduate degree in dance
