Chocolate Chip Cookies
"These will absolutely beat any of those thin "toll house" cookies."
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (12 oz.) Package semisweet chocolate pieces
1 cup chopped nuts
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Cream butter with sugars
until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth. Gradually add
dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts. By the
time you add the chocolate and nuts the mixture is very thick and I just
turn the nuts and chocolate into the rest of the mixture with a spatula.
Drop the cookies a teaspoon full at a time onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
