Dreamweaver Site Definition with a mapped drive 1. Use the manage site definitions wizard and select a name for your site. Click next.
2. On the second part, choose any setting you wish and click next. On Editing Files (Part 3), decide whether you wish to edit locally and then upload; or edit directly on the network drive. I suggest the first option because it allows you to maintain a local copy of your site for backup purposes and offline editing. Choose a location to store your files locally if you chose option one. In this example, I created a folder named website in "My Documents" and selected it. Click Next.
3. Choose the location on the network or your mapped drive. I used w:\. Click Next.
4. Click Next while filling in your personal preferences until you arrive at a Finish option. 5. You may now edit your site with Dreamweaver. |
